Songs for the Carpenter is a four-volume, globally inspired, open-source music collection that reimagines worship as a universal human experience rather than a single religious perspective.

Each volume explores a different dimension of faith:

  • Vol. I — The Carpenter: cultural expressions of belief across the world

  • Vol. II — Seeds: growth, legacy, and planting for the future

  • Vol. III — A Reason to Believe: faith through real human experience, doubt, and connection

  • Vol. IV — Signs: awareness — finding meaning in everyday moments

Together, they form a symbolic compass — a map of faith that removes hierarchy and invites exploration from every direction.

Musically, the project blends genres and traditions from around the world, including gospel, country, Latin, Middle Eastern, African, folk, and cinematic styles — reflecting the diversity of how people seek and express meaning.

At its core, the project is not about telling people what to believe.

It is about demonstrating a simple idea:

that acts of love, kindness, and presence carry meaning — regardless of language, culture, or belief system.

Released freely under a Creative Commons license, Songs for the Carpenter is designed to be shared, remixed, and experienced by anyone, anywhere.

It is not a call to conversion.

It is an invitation to pay attention.
